Senegal’s President, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Faye, has reaffirmed the country’s commitment to economic transformation and regional integration, calling on global investors to tap into the nation’s expanding market under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) framework.
Speaking at the opening of Forum Invest in Senegal 2025 (Fii Senegal 2025) in Dakar, President Faye said Senegal offers a modernized legal environment, a stable economy, and vast opportunities in high-potential sectors.
“We are ready to welcome you and facilitate your establishment and success. Come seize opportunities in strategic sectors and forge mutually beneficial partnerships,” Faye stated.
The President underscored the four pillars of Vision Senegal 2050—economic diversification, regional development, strengthened governance, and investment in human capital—as the foundation for sustainable growth and investor confidence.
Bakary Séga Bathily, Director General of APIX (Senegal’s Investment Promotion Agency), hailed the forum as a symbol of the nation’s renewed ambition.
“Fii Senegal 2025 is not just another forum—it is the face of a Senegal asserting itself as a hub of stability, trust, and shared prosperity, open to Africa and the world,” Bathily said.
Held under the theme “Connecting Opportunities, Building the Future,” the two-day forum brings together policymakers, investors, and global business leaders for high-level discussions on value creation, local transformation, and sustainable financing.
The opening day featured a Presidential Panel with African and international leaders, alongside thematic sessions on energy, strategic resources, health, agriculture, and industrial development.
Closing the inaugural session, Bathily reaffirmed Senegal’s strong investment momentum:
“As Fii Senegal 2025 unfolds, it reaffirms Senegal’s role as a central player in Africa’s economic transformation and a trusted destination for global investors. The time to invest is now—the place to transform is here.”
