Rite Foods Limited has been recognised among the Top 50 Nigerian Companies of Impact for 2026 at this year’s Industry Newspaper Awards.

The recognition honours organisations contributing to Nigeria’s economic and social development through innovation, sustainability, job creation and measurable impact.

Rite Foods was recognised for its investments in modern manufacturing infrastructure, technology, product innovation and sustainable business practices, as well as its contributions to local value creation, employment and community development.

The company has developed a portfolio of consumer brands, including Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Premium Drinking Water, Sosa Fruit Drinks, Fearless Energy Drink, and its range of Rite Spicy Beef, Bigi Beef and Bigi Flex Sausages.

Speaking on the award, Goddie Ofose, Editor-in-Chief and Chief Executive Officer of Industry Newspaper, said the recognition celebrates organisations making tangible economic, social and environmental contributions to Nigeria.

Ofose highlighted Rite Foods’ environmental initiatives, including its Waste-Is-Naira (W.I.N.) programme and Riteonthebeach project, which focus on plastic waste recovery and environmental awareness.

He also cited the company’s energy strategy, noting that 95 per cent of its energy consumption is sourced from natural gas and solar power, while diesel accounts for about five per cent.

According to him, Rite Foods’ corporate social responsibility initiatives in education, healthcare and economic empowerment have also contributed to community development.

Commenting on the recognition, Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods, said the award reflects the company’s commitment to creating value beyond its commercial operations.

Eze said innovation remains central to the company’s strategy, adding that investments in product development, manufacturing capabilities, people and technology have helped Rite Foods respond to changing consumer needs.

The latest recognition adds to a growing list of awards received by the company for its performance, innovation, sustainability and corporate leadership.

Rite Foods said it would continue investing in innovation, sustainability, human capital and community development while strengthening its contribution to Nigeria’s consumer economy.
