Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and members of the South-West Governors Forum have congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday, describing him as a patriotic, visionary and compassionate leader.
Sanwo-Olu, who chairs the forum, praised the President’s leadership, noting that his administration has driven development, economic growth and renewed public confidence in governance.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the Lagos governor described Tinubu as a statesman whose contributions to politics, governance and economic development have significantly shaped Lagos State, the South-West region and Nigeria at large.
He commended the President’s democratic credentials and longstanding commitment to public service, adding that Tinubu’s governance approach reflects his dedication to national progress and unity.
Sanwo-Olu further credited the President’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” with delivering democratic dividends and addressing key economic challenges through bold policy decisions.
The governor also described Tinubu as a central figure in Lagos’ transformation, noting that his tenure as governor in the early years of Nigeria’s Fourth Republic laid the foundation for the state’s emergence as a model for subnational development in Africa.
He offered prayers for the President’s continued strength, wisdom and good health as he leads the country toward sustained political and economic growth.
