Stanbic IBTC Asset Management recently hosted the prize presentation ceremony for the InvestBeta Game Show at its headquarters, Stanbic IBTC Towers in Victoria Island, Lagos. The event marked the conclusion of the first season of the game show, which celebrated the winners and their achievements in financial literacy, and underscored the broader goal of nurturing financial awareness among Nigerian youth.
The InvestBeta Game Show, an initiative launched by Stanbic IBTC Asset Management, aims to equip young Nigerians with the knowledge and tools necessary to embark on their investment journeys. After months of meticulous planning, the program kicked off with over 3,000 participants screened for season one, with four Campus Play editions held across various Nigerian universities. The show’s debut included eight episodes, featuring weekly Home Play segments on YouTube. Through this initiative, Stanbic IBTC has rewarded 59 winners with investment portfolios worth over N7 million.
At the ceremony, Anita Dele-Dickson, Head of Business Development at Stanbic IBTC Asset Management, expressed her excitement about the event’s success and its importance in fostering financial literacy. “Today’s ceremony is a reflection of our commitment to developing a financially literate generation. By creating an environment where young people can learn and grow, we ensure they are well-prepared to navigate future financial challenges and make informed investment decisions,” she said.
Dele-Dickson emphasized that financial literacy is a key driver of both personal and communal economic growth. She explained that as young Nigerians become more financially aware, they are better positioned to make positive contributions to the economy, creating a ripple effect that will benefit their communities and beyond.
The winners from various episodes of the InvestBeta Game Show were awarded customized investment portfolios designed to recognize their achievements and encourage continued learning in financial management. Niyi Ajayi, Head of Customer Experience at Stanbic IBTC Asset Management, noted that these portfolios represent more than just a prize—they symbolize the winners’ journey toward becoming informed investors and taking ownership of their financial futures.
Stanbic IBTC Asset Management remains dedicated to championing financial education in Nigeria, striving to nurture a generation of young, informed investors who will contribute to the country’s economic growth and development.
