Sunbeth Global Raises ₦165.73 Billion in Commercial Paper Issuances

By Ayomide Otitoju

Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited has successfully completed Series 1, 2, and 3 issuances under its Commercial Paper Programme, raising ₦165.73 billion—well above the ₦100 billion initially targeted.

The offering, which ran from February 27 to March 6, 2026, was structured across three series with tenors of 179, 270, and 364 days, providing investors with multiple short-term investment options. Discount rates ranged from 19.0% to 19.3%, with implied yields between 21.0% and 23.5%, reflecting strong investor participation and market-aligned pricing.

The proceeds will primarily support Sunbeth’s cocoa trading operations in Nigeria, boosting the company’s capacity to source, finance, and export cocoa to international markets.

Nzubechukwu Anisiobi, COO of Sunbeth Global Concepts, said the strong investor response demonstrates confidence in the company’s business model and long-term strategy. “This milestone strengthens our capacity to scale trading operations and deepen our contribution to Africa’s agricultural export sector,” he noted.

CFO Adeyemi Aduwo added that the outcome reflects growing investor interest in Nigeria’s agricultural export value chain. “This issuance enhances liquidity flexibility, aligns funding with trading cycles, manages market volatility, and positions us to expand across the cocoa value chain,” he said.

Sunbeth Global Concepts aims to expand further across the value chain, including processing and higher-value segments, while maintaining strong financial discipline, transparency, and prudent capital deployment. The Commercial Paper will be quoted on FMDQ or the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), ensuring transparency and liquidity for investors.
