The Tegbe Foundation has concluded its #JTstrikesDiamond Empowerment Initiative, providing financial support to 60 small businesses and social enterprises across Oyo State.
The initiative, which was largely targeted at youth-led enterprises, saw each beneficiary receive grants ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦500,000.
The foundation held a closing ceremony in Ibadan to mark the completion of the initiative, which was established to celebrate the 60th birthday of its founder, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe.
The grant presentation was held in commemoration of International Youth Day, highlighting the foundation’s focus on youth development and entrepreneurship.
According to the Executive Director of Tegbe Foundation, Femi Adeleke, the initiative was designed to support young entrepreneurs and contribute to economic development.
“This is more than support, it’s an investment in youth development, entrepreneurship, and a stronger economic future,” Adeleke said.
The closing ceremony attracted government representatives, traditional leaders, community stakeholders and other dignitaries, including Oloye Denrele Lekan-Salami, Ajia Balogun Olubadan; Engr. Bode Johnson; Hon. Hafiz Oladejo, Special Adviser to the Honourable Minister on Stakeholder Engagement; Asiwaju Tayo Alabi; Chief Mrs Funmilayo Arulogun; Hon. Inaolaji Akinloye; and Hon. Raji Draj Ademola.
Several of the guests delivered goodwill messages in support of the foundation’s work in youth and enterprise development.
The foundation said the initiative achieved its objective of supporting 60 beneficiaries across Oyo State while providing financial assistance to youth-led enterprises.
