President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday evening received Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, businessman Deji Adeleke, and Afrobeats star David Adeleke (popularly known as Davido) at his private residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The courtesy visit, which comes ahead of the Eid el-Kabir celebrations, was confirmed by Governor Adeleke via a statement shared on his official platform.
“This evening, alongside the scion of the Adeleke dynasty, my elder brother, Dr. Deji Adeleke, and my nephew, whom we are immensely proud of, David Adeleke, popularly known as @davido, we paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his Lagos residence ahead of the Sallah celebration,” the governor said.
Although details of the closed-door meeting were not made public, the visit follows a recent meeting between Davido and President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, suggesting continued high-level engagements between the Adeleke family and the presidency.
