By Ayomide Otitoju

A total of 4,704 public school teachers have completed the latest phase of the MTN SAIL Teachers’ Fellowship Programme after a 16-week training focused on technology integration and innovative teaching methods.

The teachers are graduating at the MTN Rooftop in Ikoyi, Lagos, after undergoing training in technology integration, inquiry-based learning and emerging technologies in education.

The programme is designed to equip teachers with practical skills and new approaches to improve classroom learning and engagement.

Since its launch in 2024, the MTN SAIL Teachers’ Fellowship Programme has trained about 8,702 teachers across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The programme has focused on helping teachers adopt technology and innovative teaching approaches to make learning more engaging and relevant to students.

The organisers said the impact of the fellowship extends beyond the teachers, as students are expected to benefit from the knowledge and skills acquired through the programme.
