Ecobank Nigeria is gearing up to host its first-ever Design & Build Expo, a major event set to spotlight the latest trends, innovations, and sustainable practices in architecture, construction, and interior design. The five-day event, themed “Building Nigeria Together,” will run from November 27 to December 1, 2024, at the Ecobank Pan African Centre (EPAC) in Victoria Island, Lagos. The expo will commence daily at 10:00 am, featuring around 60 exhibitors showcasing a diverse array of products and innovations in the sector.
During the event announcement, Omoboye Odu, Head of SMEs, Partnerships, and Collaborations at Ecobank Nigeria, highlighted the expo as part of the bank’s strategic initiative to support Nigeria’s economic growth. According to Odu, the expo aims to provide a platform for professionals in architecture, real estate, construction, and interior design to present their offerings to a larger audience while fostering networking opportunities between entrepreneurs, consumers, and industry stakeholders.
“This expo aligns with our mission as a Pan-African bank to contribute to the economic development of the countries in which we operate. It offers industry players a unique opportunity to showcase their products, network, and promote the use of sustainable practices such as renewable materials and energy-efficient technologies,” said Odu.
The event will feature businesses from sectors such as real estate development, kitchen fittings, tiling and flooring, interior design, lighting, woodwork, electronics, and construction tools and equipment. In addition to product showcases, the expo will include interactive workshops, live demonstrations, and networking sessions.
Odu also emphasized the significance of the expo for exhibitors, who will gain direct access to key decision-makers, influencers, and potential clients. “This is a chance for businesses to boost brand visibility, engage with industry leaders, and stay ahead of emerging trends,” she added, inviting stakeholders and enthusiasts to attend the event and collaborate in “Building Nigeria Together.”
Ecobank Nigeria continues to support SMEs through various initiatives, including the Adire Lagos Experience, +234 Art Fair, the Ecobank National Schools Team Chess Championship, and Oja Oge 2024. The bank’s MySME Growth Series is also providing training and empowerment to over 1 million small business operators nationwide.
