Airtel Africa Buys Back 66,089 Shares at N143.70 Each

Airtel Africa has repurchased 66,089 units of its ordinary shares at N143.70 per share, as part of its ongoing share buy-back program. The telecom giant disclosed the transaction, executed on Monday, March 10, in a statement on Tuesday, confirming the shares were acquired through Barclays Capital Securities Limited.

The buy-back, authorized by shareholders and initially announced on December 23, 2024, saw the highest price paid at N144 per share, with a volume-weighted average price of N143.96 per share.

Since launching the buy-back program, Airtel Africa has acquired a total of 16,750,765 ordinary shares at a volume-weighted average price of 120.8955 GBp per share, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing shareholder value.
