Nigerian gospel artists Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, and Moses Bliss have achieved significant recognition on the global music stage, securing spots among the most-streamed Nigerian artists on YouTube Music for the first quarter of 2025.
According to data compiled by Debut Hub, Nathaniel Bassey led the pack with an impressive 52.8 million streams, followed by Mercy Chinwo with 46.4 million streams, and Moses Bliss with 41.5 million streams.
Mercy Chinwo’s hit track, “Excess Love,” continues to dominate, with a remarkable 133 million streams, while Bassey’s popular songs like “Yahweh Sabaoth” (25 million streams), “TOBECHUKWU” featuring Mercy Chinwo (39 million streams), and “Jesus Iye” (32 million streams) have also performed strongly.
Meanwhile, Rema continued his dominance in the top rankings for Q1 2025, with other leading Nigerian artists such as Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, and Ayra Starr also featuring prominently in the top 20 most-streamed artists.
Rema’s track “Calm Down,” featuring Selena Gomez, earned a monumental 223 million streams and reached a groundbreaking 2.5 billion plays, cementing his position as one of the top Nigerian artists globally.
