Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has increased the monthly allowance for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in the state from ₦20,000 to ₦30,000.
The announcement was made on Friday at the opening of the 2025 Batch B Stream I NYSC orientation camp in Damare. Fintiri, in a post on his official X handle, also disclosed plans to build a new NYSC camp in the state.
This development follows a similar move by Akwa Ibom State, which recently increased its corps members’ allowance to ₦20,000.
The NYSC was established in 1973 to promote unity and national integration through community service.
