The Federal High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has dismissed a fundamental rights suit filed by the Registered Trustees of the City of David Residents Association (CODRA) and five others against Adron Homes and Properties Limited.
Delivering judgment in Suit No. FHC/AB/FHR/58/2023, Justice Abiodun J. Adeyemi ruled that the applicants’ claims of infringement on personal liberty were speculative, unsubstantiated, and without merit.
The court found no evidence linking Adron Homes to any act of arrest, invitation, or rights violation. It further held that while residents are free to associate, the legal authority to own, manage, and administer the estate lies with Adron Homes as the developer.
The ruling reaffirms Adron Homes’ position as a lawful and customer-focused developer committed to the welfare of its residents.
