Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, married his longtime partner Chioma Adeleke on Sunday in an opulent white wedding in Miami, Florida.
The ceremony drew prominent figures from business, politics, and entertainment, including billionaire Aliko Dangote, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Abia State Governor Alex Otti, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, music stars Zlatan Ibile, Adekunle Gold, and Teni, as well as nightlife entrepreneur Obi Cubana and talent manager Ubi Franklin.
In an emotional speech to his bride, Davido said: “Chioma, I have been on many stages, but this is the most nervous I have ever been… You saw the real me, the me the world doesn’t see, and you still chose me.”
The couple exchanged vows in the presence of clergy, marking their third wedding celebration following a court ceremony in March 2023 and a traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024.
Davido reportedly gifted Chioma a $300,000 (₦460 million) Richard Mille wristwatch for the occasion and revealed spending $3.7 million on the event. He also wore customised cufflinks bearing the image of their late son Ifeanyi, who died in 2022.
The pair’s decade-long romance began at Babcock University and has endured public scrutiny, including rumours of infidelity. They welcomed twins in the U.S. in October 2023.
