GITEX GLOBAL 2025 to Unite World’s Top AI and Tech Leaders in Dubai

By Ayomide Otitoju

The landmark 45th edition of GITEX GLOBAL is set to convene the world’s most advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and technology enterprises from 13–17 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, while its co-located startup showcase, Expand North Star, celebrates its 10th anniversary from 12–15 October at Dubai Harbour.

As AI capabilities accelerate, the global race to apply the technology to critical sectors — from biotech and robotics to green data centres and quantum computing — is gaining urgency. The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) projects the global AI market to reach $4.8 trillion by 2033, underscoring the significance of GITEX GLOBAL as the world’s largest tech and AI event.

This year’s edition will bring together over 6,800 tech enterprises and 2,000 startups from 180 countries, featuring global giants such as Alibaba Cloud, AMD, AWS, Dell, Google, Huawei, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, and Siemens. New exhibitors include Cerebras, Datadog, Qualcomm, Tata Electronics, and Tenstorrent.

Running concurrently, Expand North Star, hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, will connect 2,000 of the world’s most promising startups with more than 1,200 investors managing assets worth $1.1 trillion.

Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), said:

“Future-critical sectors including biotech, quantum, and robotics are where AI ingenuity meets humanity’s most pressing challenges. GITEX GLOBAL 2025 gives new impetus to these transformative technologies while remaining the catalyst for innovation-led progress.”

This year marks record international participation, with Brazil joining as Country Partner with its largest-ever tech delegation. New national pavilions will debut from Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, and Türkiye, alongside expanded representation from Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Levant.

Speakers and innovators will spotlight breakthroughs in AI-driven gene editing, neurotechnology, robotics, and semiconductors. IBM will unveil its Quantum System Two, while AMD showcases next-generation AI processors. Biotech leaders such as Mammoth Biosciences and Paradromics will discuss how AI is advancing gene therapy and brain-computer interfaces.

Among the headline innovations, Tensor introduces the world’s first personal robocar — dubbed “agentic AI on wheels” — and K2 unveils new humanoid robots designed for industrial use. With the robotics AI market projected to quadruple to $94 billion by 2031, such developments underscore AI’s growing role in industrial transformation.

Expand North Star will also feature over 40 unicorns, including Cerebras with its AI supercomputer built with G42, Fluidstack’s decarbonised AI supercomputer, and Xpanceo’s AI-powered smart contact lenses — merging augmented reality, healthcare, and consumer technology.

GITEX GLOBAL 2025 thus reaffirms Dubai’s position as a global nexus for innovation, where the world’s most advanced AI solutions converge to shape the future of industry, science, and society.
