The NNPC Foundation has emerged as one of the biggest winners at the 19th SERAS Africa Sustainability Awards, securing five major honours, including the coveted Most Responsible Organisation in Africa (Overall Winner).
The awards, presented on Saturday, 29 November 2025, also included Best in Decent Work and Economic Growth, Best in Stakeholder Engagement, Best in Poverty Reduction, and Africa Sustainability Professional of the Year, awarded to the Foundation’s Managing Director, Emmanuella Arukwe.
Reacting to the recognition, Arukwe said the achievements reaffirm the Foundation’s leadership in driving impactful and sustainable community development across Nigeria and the continent. “This win belongs to NNPC Limited. This win belongs to Impact. This win belongs to Africa,” she stated.
The accolades further underscore the Foundation’s expanding footprint in social investment, highlighted by initiatives such as restoring sight to more than 6,000 Nigerians through cataract surgeries, supplying STEM textbooks to public schools nationwide, and supporting over one million youth corps members.
