The 5th Canada-Africa Business Conference will convene senior executives, investors, policymakers, and institutional partners from Namibia, Canada, and across Africa, with a strong focus on mining, energy, infrastructure, and sustainable economic development.
The conference comes as Namibia continues to attract growing international interest, driven by its reputation for regulatory certainty, sound governance, and long-term policy stability, factors that have positioned the country as an increasingly attractive destination for foreign capital and strategic partnerships.
The programme features high-level panel sessions, sector-focused discussions, and private roundtables designed to accelerate investment, promote responsible project development, and strengthen collaboration between Namibian businesses and international partners.
Speaking on the importance of the platform, John Roos, Country Manager of B2Gold Namibia, said the country has established itself as a jurisdiction where mining investments can be carried out responsibly and transparently in partnership with government and host communities.
“The Canada-Africa Business Conference provides a valuable platform for practical dialogue between operators, investors, and policymakers, helping to advance projects that contribute to long-term national development, which we are pleased to support,” Roos said.
Also expected at the conference is Wayne Floreani, Co-founder and President of MineAfrica Inc., who highlighted Namibia’s rising strategic relevance in the global mining industry and the broader economic opportunities enabled by the sector.
“Namibia represents one of Africa’s most compelling investment destinations for the mining sector,” Floreani said, noting that the country has been consistently showcased at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference in Toronto alongside Canadian companies operating in Namibia, including B2Gold, Koryx Copper, Northern Graphite, and Namibia Critical Metals.
He added that he looks forward to welcoming Canadian firms interested in participating in the conference, encouraging them to contact the Chamber or reach out directly.
By hosting the fifth edition of the Canada-Africa Business Conference, Namibia is reinforcing its position as a regional hub for responsible investment and international business dialogue, while deepening commercial ties with Canada’s private sector. The event will be broadcast live.
