The World Advanced Manufacturing & Future Mobility Exhibition (WAM Morocco) will make its debut in Casablanca from January 20 to 22, positioning itself as the region’s first Industry 4.0–focused platform dedicated to advanced and intelligent manufacturing, future mobility, industrial innovation and supply-chain transformation.

Designed to connect Morocco’s industrial ecosystem with leading global technology and manufacturing players, the exhibition aims to accelerate investment, technology adoption and cross-border collaboration across Africa and international markets.

Organised by KAOUN International, a subsidiary of the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), WAM Morocco is being delivered in partnership with a network of regional and international stakeholders, including MSC Pro, CDD, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Advantage Austria and Germany’s Der Mittelstand. BVMW. The collaboration brings together public and private sector leaders to advance practical Industry 4.0 transformation across borders.

Speaking ahead of the event, KAOUN International Chief Executive Officer, Trixie LohMirmand, described WAM Morocco as a strategic platform for the continent’s industrial growth. She said the exhibition would connect global expertise with regional ambition, creating new pathways for investment, collaboration and next-generation industrial development in Africa.

The inaugural edition reflects growing international confidence in Morocco’s industrial prospects. More than 100 companies from over 18 countries are participating, including firms from Morocco, Nigeria, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Germany, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia. Global companies taking part include Schneider Electric, SAP, Engie, Sumitomo Corporation, Zoho, Rockwell Automation, Hitachi, Vigel and Vivo Energy.

A spokesperson for Schneider Electric noted that intelligent manufacturing is reshaping global industries and said Morocco is emerging as a market where this transformation can accelerate at scale. The company said its participation underscores its commitment to supporting industrial ecosystems with the technologies and expertise required to build future-ready factories.

At the core of WAM Morocco is a three-day conference programme featuring four thematic pillars, eight key industrial sectors, more than 60 hours of content and over 60 international expert speakers across two stages. Discussions will focus on priority areas such as data centres for future-ready industries, global capital flows into smart manufacturing, green manufacturing, future freight mobility and transport, as well as industrial infrastructure sovereignty, artificial intelligence-driven factories, large-scale decarbonisation and energy transition.

The exhibition will also convene senior decision-makers from government, industry and finance. Confirmed speakers include Dr Mehdi Snène, Chief AI Officer at the United Nations; Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director-General of Nigeria’s National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA); former Moroccan Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Dr Ghita Mezzour; Director General of Groupe CDG, Khalid Safir; and Yasmina Lahlou, Executive Director at Bank of Africa Group.

Several global leaders will be making their first speaking appearances in Morocco, including Fatou Haidara of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Alain Sanchez of Fortinet, Maxime de Bonrepos of ENGIE and Isaac Chetrit of Blazie Holdings, highlighting the international scope of the event.

WAM Morocco will also showcase emerging international startups such as India’s Xane.ai and Spain’s Dinabi, supported by an Invest India country pavilion aimed at accelerating cross-border industrial innovation. In addition, the Supernova Challenge, a flagship industrial pitch competition, will offer a USD 10,000 cash prize and provide a live platform for African manufacturing startups to engage directly with investors and industry leaders.

More than 100 global investors managing over USD 50 billion in assets under management from over 20 countries are expected to attend. Investment networks such as Alex Angels from Egypt will join institutional players including AMIC (MENA), Harvard Consulting (USA) and Bpifrance to drive capital deployment into advanced manufacturing and future mobility.

Held in association with GITEX Africa, WAM Morocco leverages one of the world’s leading technology ecosystems to position Morocco as a continental hub for Industry 4.0 and advanced industrial transformation.

The exhibition will take place in Casablanca from January 20 to 22, bringing together industry leaders, innovators and investors for what organisers describe as a defining platform for advanced manufacturing in the region.
