Choithrams, one of the UAE’s leading community supermarket brands, has launched the fifth edition of its annual “Double Blessings” Ramadan campaign, reinforcing its collaboration with Dubai Cares and the UAE Food Bank, both operating under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).
The campaign, which has become a recognised feature of the holy month, aims to rally residents and visitors to support education and food-relief programmes for vulnerable communities. It will run until the end of March 2026.
Under the initiative, customers can donate virtual biryani boxes for AED 10 or food boxes for AED 20 at checkout counters across all Choithrams stores in Dubai, as well as through the retailer’s online platform. Proceeds from the campaign will be channelled through Dubai Cares and the UAE Food Bank to provide essential food supplies and educational resources to families in need, both within the UAE and internationally.
Chairman of Choithrams Group, L.T. Pagarani, described Double Blessings as a growing tradition of collective giving. He said the campaign reflects the generosity of customers and partners, noting that small contributions continue to translate into meaningful impact for disadvantaged communities during Ramadan.
Over the years, the initiative has brought together residents, tourists, families and volunteers around a shared goal of extending compassion beyond their immediate surroundings, establishing it as one of the UAE’s most consistent community-driven Ramadan programmes.
Dubai Cares, which has partnered with Choithrams since 2007, said the campaign remains vital in sustaining education programmes in communities affected by prolonged crises. Abdulla Ahmed Alshehhi, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Cares, noted that partnerships of this nature are critical to maintaining access to education for children facing ongoing challenges.
The UAE Food Bank said the 2026 edition of the campaign aligns with the country’s designation of the year as the Year of the Family. Manal Obaid Bin Yaroof, Head of the Executive Team of the UAE Food Bank, said the initiative supports food security while reinforcing values of compassion, solidarity and shared responsibility, particularly during Ramadan.
She added that collaborations such as Double Blessings highlight the impact that joint efforts between the public, private and humanitarian sectors can have in transforming generosity into sustainable support for families and communities.
Through its Double Blessings campaign, Choithrams continues to demonstrate how corporate partnerships and community participation can combine to deliver tangible humanitarian outcomes during the holy month.
