The MTN Media Innovation Programme (MIP) has been described as a transformative capacity-building initiative for media practitioners and digital creators in Nigeria, offering participants opportunities to enhance their skills in the evolving media landscape.
The six-month certificate course, delivered in partnership with the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University, is structured across six weeks of intensive training focused on media innovation and technology.
Although applications for the fifth cohort are yet to open, prospective candidates have been advised to begin preparations early. This includes updating professional profiles such as CVs, biographies, and online portfolios to reflect their strongest work and achievements.
Applicants are also encouraged to curate a concise portfolio showcasing articles, videos, podcasts, or other digital content that best demonstrates their capabilities. In addition, candidates should clearly define their motivation for joining the programme and the impact they intend to make within the media and technology space.
The organisers further noted that applicants will be required to possess a valid passport and, where applicable, obtain employer approval ahead of the application process to avoid delays.
While the application window has not yet been announced, interested participants are urged to stay alert for updates, which will be communicated via official channels.
