Punchline Lagos has hosted a vibrant comedy and entertainment event at the British Council Nigeria in Lagos, delivering an evening filled with laughter, creativity, and cultural exchange.
The event brought together comedians, creatives, diplomats, and entertainment industry stakeholders for a curated experience that combined humour, networking, and artistic expression.
Guests were welcomed with a reception and mocktail session before enjoying performances from 15 comedians, each delivering sets that kept the audience engaged and entertained throughout the show.
A highlight of the evening was a special recognition segment in which the British Council and cultural advocate Olubusola Ashiru were honoured for their contributions to cultural development and creative collaboration.
Organisers said the platform continues to serve as a cultural bridge, using comedy to foster storytelling, connection, and community engagement, while strengthening Lagos’ position as a hub for entertainment and creative innovation in Africa.
The event, curated by comedian and creative entrepreneur Godwin Okhawere, received strong praise from attendees and is expected to return for future editions.
