The NNPC Foundation Limited/Gte has been honoured with the 2025 CSR Champion Award in Health, presented by Independent Newspapers at its Silver Jubilee Awards ceremony.

The event, themed “Game Changers: Breaking Barriers and Shaping Tomorrow,” was held at Eko Hotel and Suites on April 18, 2026.

The award recognises the Foundation’s impactful healthcare interventions and broader social investment efforts across health, education, environment, and energy access.

According to the organisers, the recognition follows a range of initiatives by the Foundation, including free cataract screenings and surgeries that restored sight to over 6,000 Nigerians, cancer and glaucoma interventions, and medical outreaches targeting underserved communities. Other projects include the renovation and furnishing of three wards with 100 beds at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, sponsorship of heart surgeries, and distribution of dental health materials to children in special schools.

The Foundation attributed its achievements to the support and leadership of NNPC Ltd., noting that the organisation’s backing has strengthened its capacity to deliver impactful programmes nationwide.

Reacting to the award, Managing Director Emmanuella Arukwe described the recognition as a validation of the Foundation’s efforts and the trust reposed in it by Nigerians.

She said the honour reflects the resilience of beneficiary communities, the dedication of the Foundation’s team, and the strength of its partnerships in advancing interventions in health, education, environmental sustainability, and energy access.

Arukwe added that the Foundation remains committed to expanding its reach and deepening its impact through sustained social investment initiatives aimed at improving lives and supporting national development.
