Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated elder statesman and Governance Advisory Council member, Otunba Busura Alebiosu, on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor described Alebiosu as a stabilising force and respected political leader whose influence has shaped the political landscape of Lagos State.
Alebiosu, who also serves as Chairman of the Council of Otunbas of Ijebuland and holds the title Otunba Gbelegbuwa of Ijebuland, is widely regarded as a veteran politician with decades of service spanning the Fourth Republic and earlier political eras.
Sanwo-Olu praised his contributions to governance and legislative development, noting his time as a lawmaker representing the Somolu/Kosofe State Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, as well as his long-standing role in party politics.
The governor described him as a “stabiliser and leader of leaders,” highlighting his calm disposition, humility, and wealth of experience, which he said have made him a key figure in Lagos politics over nearly five decades.
He also acknowledged Alebiosu’s continued participation in political development from the era of former Governor Sir Michael Otedola through the aborted Third Republic to the present democratic dispensation.
Sanwo-Olu prayed for good health, sound mind, and continued wisdom for the nonagenarian, wishing him many more years of impactful service to the state and nation.
