Fearless Energy Drink, a leading brand from Rite Foods Limited, has announced its sponsorship of the highly anticipated celebrity boxing event, “Chaos in the Ring,” featuring popular singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, and actor-comedian Charles Okocha.
The entertainment showdown is scheduled to hold on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, with fans eager to see the two celebrities settle their rivalry in the ring.
Excitement ahead of the fight increased during a pre-fight press conference, where Portable and Charles Okocha faced off in a tense staredown, displaying confidence and determination ahead of the highly publicised bout.
The clash revives their rivalry that began in December 2023 when the pair first met in a boxing contest at Landmark Beach, Victoria Island, Lagos. Portable confidently recalled his previous victory, telling Okocha, “You don chop am before… you go chop am again,” while the actor responded by dismissing his opponent and promising a different outcome this time.
The event will also feature performances and fights involving other entertainers and fighters, including Idowest, Mr Real, Shiloh Defreitas of Great Britain, Eric “Kojo” Quarm of Ghana, Rilwan Lawal, Yusuf Adeniji, Basit Adebayo of Nigeria, and Said Chino of Tanzania.
Beyond the celebrity rivalry, attendees will also have the opportunity to witness the winner of brand-new electric vehicles provided by EV Motors.
As the headline energy drink sponsor, Fearless Energy Drink said it will bring its energetic brand identity to the event, highlighting its “I CAN, I AM” philosophy while supporting activities built around courage, confidence, and determination.
Speaking at the press conference held in Lagos, Brand Manager of Fearless Energy Drink at Rite Foods Limited, Olaniyi Aderuku, said the sponsorship reflects the company’s commitment to connecting with consumers through lifestyle events that promote boldness and achievement.
According to him, “Chaos in the Ring” provides another platform for the brand to showcase its refreshing flavours while inspiring contestants to give their best performances.
Meanwhile, Group Chief Executive Officer of Balmoral Group, Ezekiel Adamu, described the event as an avenue to promote African talent, attract international partnerships, and create new opportunities within the sports and entertainment ecosystem.
The fight has generated growing interest among entertainment lovers across Nigeria, with fans anticipating a thrilling contest between the two celebrities.
