Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has been declared the winner of the state’s governorship election, bringing an end to months of intense campaigning.
The Returning Officer for the election, Joshua Ogunwole, announced the result at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Collation Centre in Osogbo early Sunday.
Ogunwole said Adeleke polled 511,067 votes to emerge victorious in the election.
Collation of results began at about 2am and ended around 8am.
