JMG Limited has partnered with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative to provide food assistance to more than 400 households in Majidun, Ikorodu, Lagos State, as part of activities marking World Food Day.

The outreach, held on October 17, 2026, under the Temporary Food Assistance Programme (TEFAP), aimed to support vulnerable families facing food insecurity and ease the burden of meeting their daily nutritional needs.

The initiative brought together JMG’s management and staff, alongside volunteers from the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, to package and distribute essential food items to beneficiaries.

The team began activities at the Lagos Food Bank Initiative’s headquarters, where it was received by the organisation’s Executive Director, Dr Michael Sunbola, and other members of staff and volunteers. The team also toured the facility before proceeding to Majidun for the distribution exercise.

Speaking at the event, JMG’s Chief Operating Officer, Christian G. Kozma, highlighted the importance of supporting women and recognising their contributions to society.

He said the initiative was designed to reach more than 400 women, adding that women play critical roles in society and occupy important positions within JMG.

The company’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Gloria Ibeziako, said tackling hunger requires collective action from individuals, businesses and communities.

She noted that JMG remained committed to empowerment, compassion and shared responsibility, adding that the company was proud to contribute to providing food for families in need.

Sunbola commended JMG for partnering with the organisation to provide direct assistance to vulnerable households.

He said the food packages distributed could sustain a family of five for more than two to three weeks, describing the intervention as a source of relief and hope for families struggling to afford meals.

One of the beneficiaries, Morenike Adigun, expressed appreciation to JMG and the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, saying the food supplies would help ease the financial pressure of feeding her family.

The Baale of Majidun, Chief Alex Olusegun Omoyele, also commended both organisations for supporting residents and helping reduce the burden on households in the community.

The partnership reflects JMG’s corporate social responsibility efforts beyond its core business of providing power and electromechanical solutions, with a focus on supporting vulnerable communities and improving livelihoods.
