Access Bank Botswana, a subsidiary of Access Bank Group, has gained international recognition after winning three prestigious awards celebrating its innovation, customer-centric approach, and commitment to social development. The accolades highlight the Bank’s efforts to transform Botswana’s financial sector through digital solutions and purpose-driven banking.

The Bank was named Best Digital Banking Initiative, Botswana at The Digital Banker Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards 2025 for its ‘SalaryAdvance’ solution. This fully digital, short-term credit facility allows salaried customers to access up to 200% of their monthly salary instantly via mobile app or USSD, offering convenience, transparent pricing, and automated repayments while promoting financial inclusion.

Additionally, Access Bank Botswana received two honours from the Global Banking & Finance Awards® 2025: Best Bank for Digital Transformation, Botswana, for its Women Banking Initiative (W Initiative), which supports women entrepreneurs and professionals with tailored financial solutions, capacity-building, and financial literacy programmes; and Best CSR Programme for Employee Engagement, Botswana, recognising the Bank’s impactful CSR initiatives in health, education, entrepreneurship, youth development, and environmental sustainability. Staff have actively participated in national clean-up campaigns, education drives, and youth and environmental programmes to foster long-term community wellbeing.

Commenting on the achievement, Sheperd Aisam, Managing Director of Access Bank Botswana, said:
“These awards affirm our journey of transformation and purpose-driven innovation. Through digital excellence and a strong CSR foundation, we are redefining what it means to be a modern, inclusive bank—one that empowers individuals, businesses, and communities to thrive.”
