Olakunle Aderinokun, Head of Media and Public Relations at Access Holdings Plc, has been recognised for his growing influence in shaping the corporate narrative of one of Africa’s leading financial institutions as he marks his 55th birthday.

According to a report by the Online Reporters Association of Nigeria (ORAN), Aderinokun has played a pivotal role in strengthening the group’s communication strategy since his appointment in 2024, bringing a blend of media expertise, strategic insight, and institutional experience to the role.

With a career spanning banking, investment analysis, and more than two decades in journalism—including senior editorial roles at THISDAY and ARISE News—Aderinokun is credited with enhancing how Access Holdings communicates its vision, resilience, and market leadership to stakeholders.

The report noted that his leadership style, described as collaborative and people-focused, has fostered a culture of professionalism and cohesion within the organisation’s media team. He is also said to maintain strong working relationships across the media landscape, reflecting his background in journalism.

Aderinokun works closely with the Group Head of Communications, Amaechi Michael Okobi, in advancing the institution’s public engagement strategy. This collaboration recently led to a high-profile feature in the Financial Times UK, including a corporate centrespread for Access Holdings and a full-page advert for Access Bank UK.

The publication coincided with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s state visit to the United Kingdom in March 2026, providing global visibility for Nigeria’s financial sector.

A member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Aderinokun holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Ilorin and an MBA from the University of Lagos.

ORAN described his career as a reflection of professional excellence and strategic clarity, noting his continued contribution to corporate communications and media relations in Nigeria.
