The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Lagos State Governor, Gboyega Akosile, has received an Award of Excellence from the Conference 57 Chief Press Secretaries (CPS) in recognition of his contributions to strategic communication and public information management.

The award was presented on Saturday during the annual retreat of Conference 57 CPS held in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

Presenting the award, the Chairman of Chairmen in Lagos State, Engr. Sesan Olowa, said the recognition was in appreciation of Akosile’s outstanding role in strengthening government communication and supporting information officers across the 57 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state.

Olowa described Akosile as a mentor and unifying figure whose leadership, accessibility and commitment have enhanced collaboration between the state government and local council communicators.

He said Akosile has consistently demonstrated professionalism, dedication and a strong commitment to projecting the achievements of the Lagos State Government.

Responding, Akosile expressed gratitude to the Chief Press Secretaries for the honour and dedicated the award to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and members of the Lagos State media team.

He urged information officers to remain objective, proactive and united in promoting government policies and programmes while telling the Lagos story from the grassroots.

Conference 57, the umbrella body of information managers across Lagos State’s 57 LGAs and LCDAs, said the award forms part of its annual recognition of individuals who have made significant contributions to advancing government communication in the state.Copyright TRUSTAFRICA NEWS.
