The family of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has confirmed the passing of his eldest daughter, Bisola Kola-Daisi. She reportedly died in the United Kingdom after a brief illness at the age of 42.
Bisola was a notable entrepreneur in Nigeria’s luxury retail sector and a dedicated philanthropist. She served as the Managing Director of Grandex Nigeria Ltd., a leading retail and wholesale brand, and also founded Florence H. Luxury boutique, cementing her influence in the high-end fashion industry.
Beyond her business ventures, Bisola was committed to public service. Until her passing, she served as a Special Adviser to Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu, contributing to Nigeria’s economic development initiatives.
Her husband, prominent Ibadan-born politician and banking executive Kolapo Kola-Daisi, expressed his grief on social media, stating, “The world has lost a shining star. Bisola was not just my wife; she was my partner in everything. Her spirit will live on in our children.”
As news of her passing spreads, tributes have poured in from colleagues, friends, and admirers, who remember her for her vibrant personality, generosity, and commitment to business and philanthropy.
The Ajimobi family has yet to announce funeral arrangements. However, Bisola Kola-Daisi’s impact on the business world and her community will leave a lasting legacy.
