Two-time heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his Lagos residence on January 1, 2025.
During the meeting, Joshua presented the President with an autographed boxing glove inscribed with the message: “To the Great Asiwaju Jagaban Borgu of Africa, Bola A. Tinubu.”
The Presidency shared details of the visit on its official X handle, accompanied by photos of the boxer and the President. The caption read: “President Bola Tinubu receiving an autographed glove from former World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua, when he visited the President at his residence in Lagos.”
Joshua, a Nigerian-born British athlete, is in Nigeria for the festive season. His visit to President Tinubu comes days after a similar meeting with Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun.
