CAFCC Ticket: Kwara Utd threaten to pull out of NPFL

Kwara United have threatened to pull out of the Nigeria Professional Football League if they are denied the opportunity to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
The Harmony Boys Media Officer Ibitoye Shittu made this disclosure in a short statement posted on social media this morning.

Kwara United are fuming at the decision of the NFF Disciplinary Committee to award the points to Rivers United in the game against Jigawa Golden Stars for fielding an ineligible player in the game.

The three points will move The Pride of Rivers to second on the table above Enyimba on goal difference, while Kwara United will slip to fourth with no continental football.

Ibitoye said: “As far as I’m concerned, this is the final League table. Some men cannot sit somewhere on the final day of the season and waited till the second half while matches were going on to make release.”

“This is injustice and I believe all true NPFL stakeholders should kick against this. We suffered against all odds to finish third, and we won’t accept anyone to take our joy away from us, otherwise we will withdraw from the League.”
According to another report, Enyimba will also challenge the decision to award Rivers United with three points.

Nasarawa Utd shifts continental pursuit to Federation cup final

Nasarawa united striker Adamu Hassan has stated that the Solid Miners will shift focus to earn a ticket to play continental Football next season to their final fixture which comes in the Federation cup final against Nigeria National League side Bayelsa united FC in Benin on Sunday.

Hassan speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that the league ending loss to Abia warriors was disappointing but good enough that the team have a chance to salvage the season with a final showdown in the Cup competition.
He added that Bayelsa will be the team to suffer the hurt of missing out of the continental ticket via the league.
