The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), South West region, has conferred its inaugural Knight of Faith title on prominent entrepreneur and philanthropist, Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, recognizing his steadfast commitment to Christianity, national development, and transformative leadership in business and community service.
The investiture ceremony, themed “Celebrating Distinction and Faithful Stewardship,” took place at the Garden of Faith in Abeokuta, Ogun State. It also witnessed the induction of several high-profile figures as Distinguished Patrons of CAN, including the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun; Deputy Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Barr. Olaniyi Alajogun; and gospel music legend Sir Evangelist Prof. Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi (MFR).
The event was presided over by CAN South West Chairman, Bishop Tunde Akin-Akinsanya, with Governor Dapo Abiodun, CON, represented by Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Tokunbo Talabi. Other dignitaries in attendance included the Ogun State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Ola Oresanya; Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Ogunlowo; and the CAN National President, His Grace Most Rev’d (Dr.) Daniel Okoh.
Highlights of the spiritually charged ceremony included worship music performances, intercessory prayers, official conferment of honors, and an empowerment programme. In a symbolic act of generosity, Aare Emmanuelking donated a plot of land in one of Adron Homes’ estates to the winner of the empowerment initiative.
In his acceptance speech, Aare Emmanuelking described the honour as a divine mandate and a call to higher service.
“This is not just an honour—it’s a call to every Christian in leadership to shine as light-bearers in a world that needs hope. Let us serve with integrity, love, and excellence,” he said.
The newly unveiled Knight of Faith sash now stands as a symbol of spiritual leadership and dedication to Kingdom stewardship. The milestone event reflects CAN South West’s mission to honour individuals who embody Christian values while making meaningful contributions to society.
