Cassava Technologies, a global technology leader of African heritage, has announced a strategic investment from NVIDIA, marking a significant milestone in its mission to accelerate digital transformation across Africa.
In a statement, Hardy Pemhiwa, President and Group CEO of Cassava Technologies, described the investment as a catalyst for expanding the company’s digital infrastructure and services across the continent.
“Cassava is Africa’s leading technology company, driving the continent’s digital transformation with digital infrastructure and digital services,” Pemhiwa said. “Securing this investment is an important milestone that we expect to unlock additional value from and catalyze the further expansion of our digital infrastructure and services to bridge the digital divide on the continent.”
Cassava’s growing list of global investors now includes Econet Group, British International Investment, Finnfund, Fund for Export Development in Africa (Afreximbank/FEDA), Gateway Capital, Google LLC, International Finance Corporation (IFC), NVIDIA, Public Investment Corporation, and Royal Bafokeng Holdings.
