The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), King of Kings Cathedral, on Sunday, 14 December 2025, held its 4th Adult Harvest Thanksgiving Service, themed “Harvest of Grace and Mercy,” with scriptural reference from Exodus 34:6.
The Shepherd in Charge/Sup./Evangelist Israel Yomi Oni, brought together congregants, church leaders, and invited guests to give thanks for what the church described as four years of divine grace, mercy, and preservation amid numerous challenges.
Speaking on behalf of the church community, the leadership noted that the past four years—spanning 208 weeks and over 35,000 hours—had been marked by spiritual and physical trials, but credited the survival and growth of the parish to God’s grace and mercy. The congregation affirmed that, despite “storms and diverse challenges of life,” the church remains steadfast, declaring “Ebenezer” in gratitude for divine help.
The church leadership, including Sup. Evang. Dele Akinola, Life Grand Patron of the King of Kings Cathedral; Sup. Eld. Sister Lola Akinola, Matron; as well as members of the parochial and harvest committees, formally welcomed worshippers and guests to the celebration. Prayers were offered for continued health, prosperity, and fulfilment of God’s promises in the lives of attendees and their families.
In his remarks, Sup. Evang. Dele Akinola described the harvest theme as a reminder of God’s steadfast love and faithfulness, urging members to celebrate not only material blessings but also spiritual growth and the advancement of God’s kingdom. He encouraged the congregation to remain joyful and thankful, noting that they stand as living testimonies of God’s grace and provision.
The thanksgiving service also featured prayers of blessing for the coming year, with assurances of renewed testimonies and greater joy ahead. Worshippers were encouraged to remain steadfast in faith and to return in December 2026 with testimonies of God’s continued favour.
Dignitaries acknowledged at the event included the Founder and Prophet of CCC Worldwide, Rev. Samuel Bilewu Oshoffa; the Doyen of CCC Worldwide, Most Sup. Evang. S. O. Banjo; the CCC International Representative, Most Sup. Evang. J. D. Nunayon; the CCC Worldwide Pastor and Spiritual Head, Rev. Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa; and Special Guest of Honour, Chief Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo, GCFR, former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
