Coronation Group has hosted the Coronation Women Initiative Network (WIN) Conference 2026, bringing together over 500 participants in Lagos to promote women’s leadership and sustainable development within the financial services sector.
The conference, held as part of activities marking International Women’s Month, convened female professionals from Coronation’s offices in Ghana, Port Harcourt, and Abuja, alongside board members, chief executives, and senior industry leaders.
Organised under the theme “Give to Gain: Pledge to Progress 2.0,” the event reinforced the Group’s commitment to gender equity, leadership development, and sustainable wealth creation, in line with its Women in Finance sustainability pillar.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the conference highlighted Coronation’s broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy, with a focus on advancing inclusive leadership and aligning with global priorities such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5.
The initiative, launched in April 2024, supports women’s professional growth through mentorship, leadership programmes, networking opportunities, and educational engagements, while also encouraging male allies to champion gender equality.
Delivering the keynote address, Olatowun Candide-Johnson emphasised the need for systemic change to enable women to thrive, urging organisations to move beyond temporary programmes toward building lasting structures that support female leadership.
Speaking at the event, Pai Gamde said the initiative is focused on translating intent into measurable impact, noting that empowering women is both a social responsibility and a strategic imperative for building resilient institutions and inclusive economies.
Participants described the conference as impactful and transformative. Attendee Oluwabunmi Adetiloye said the event encouraged a shift from personal advancement to collective impact, highlighting the importance of creating opportunities for other women.
The Coronation WIN Conference continues to serve as a platform for mentorship, leadership development, and collaboration, reinforcing the Group’s commitment to inclusive growth and long-term prosperity across Africa.
