The management of Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, from ₦890 to ₦825 per litre. The new pricing takes effect from February 27, 2025.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the refinery confirmed the ₦65 price slash and provided details of the revised retail prices across various regions.
According to the statement, petrol will be sold at ₦860 per litre at MRS outlets in Lagos, ₦870 per litre in the South-West, ₦880 per litre in the North, and ₦890 per litre in the South-South and South-East.
For Ardova Petroleum (AP) and Heyden stations, the prices will be slightly higher: ₦865 per litre in Lagos, ₦875 per litre in the South-West, ₦885 per litre in the North, and ₦895 per litre in the South-South and South-East.
The refinery assured the public of a steady supply of petroleum products, stating that it has sufficient reserves to meet domestic demand while also producing a surplus for export, aimed at boosting Nigeria’s foreign exchange earnings.
The company urged fuel marketers to support the initiative to ensure that Nigerians benefit fully from the price adjustment.
