Fidelity Bank Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to quality education and community development with the donation of school bags and other learning materials to students of Eko Boys Junior High School in Mushin, Lagos. The initiative was executed under the Fidelity Helping Hands Programme (FHHP), the bank’s staff-led Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform through which employees identify community needs and implement sustainable solutions with matching support from the bank.

Speaking at the donation ceremony, the Divisional Head, Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, underscored the transformative power of education. “Education remains one of the most powerful tools for shaping the future of our nation. At Fidelity Bank, our role extends beyond financial services to investing in the growth and wellbeing of the communities we serve. Through our CSR pillars and the FHHP, we are committed to creating real social impact. By supporting these young students today, we are helping to equip the next generation with confidence, hope, and the tools they need to thrive,” he said.

The donation, facilitated by Team Eminence Inductees Class of 2025, was warmly received by the school’s management, teachers, and students. The Principal, Mr. Falola Gabriel, expressed gratitude to the bank for selecting the school, noting that partnerships remain vital to improving the learning environment. He also appealed for further support in the areas of computers, fans, and classroom furniture.

The Vice Principal, Mrs. Kasunmu Mercy, praised the gesture, stating that the school bags would reduce financial pressure on parents and help students better organize their learning materials. Student beneficiaries, including Ojomo David, expressed excitement and appreciation, describing the donation as a reflection of the bank’s genuine concern for their academic progress and wellbeing.

Through the FHHP, Fidelity Bank continues to promote access to quality education, empower underserved communities, and foster a culture of giving among employees. The bank says the initiative aligns with its broader mission to drive lasting, positive impact beyond traditional banking services.
