Access Bank Plc and King’s Trust International have signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at expanding opportunities, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods for young people across Africa.

The agreement was executed by Roosevelt Ogbonna, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank, and Will Straw on behalf of King’s Trust International.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organisations, alongside notable guests including Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Co-Chair of King’s Trust International Africa Advisory Board; Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede; and Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The collaboration combines King’s Trust International’s expertise in youth development with Access Bank’s extensive pan-African network and commitment to inclusive growth. Both organisations will work to equip young people with critical skills, confidence, and support systems to enable employment and entrepreneurship.

Under the agreement, Access Bank will support the rollout of King’s Trust International programmes across multiple African countries, helping young people gain skills and access pathways to meaningful employment and self-employment.

Speaking at the event, Straw said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to unlocking the potential of young people across the continent, noting that the collaboration would create long-term impact through expanded opportunities.

Ogbonna, in his remarks, emphasised that youth empowerment remains central to Africa’s sustainable development, adding that the partnership reinforces the bank’s commitment to entrepreneurship, job creation, and inclusive growth.

The initiative marks a significant step in strengthening cross-sector collaboration to address youth unemployment, promote entrepreneurship, and drive inclusive economic development across Africa.
