Fidelity Bank Plc has announced the reinstatement of international transactions on its Naira Debit Cards, giving customers the ability to make seamless payments abroad, online, and at ATMs outside Nigeria.
The bank disclosed that customers can now spend up to $1,000 quarterly for international point-of-sale and online transactions, and withdraw up to $500 quarterly from international ATMs.
Commenting on the development, Ifeoma Onibuje, Divisional Head, eBanking at Fidelity Bank, said the move restores convenience for customers who travel or shop globally.
“We are delighted to inform the public that Fidelity Naira Cards are now enabled for global use,” Onibuje said. “This means that our travelling customers can now utilize their Naira Debit Cards outside the country to shop, spend and withdraw internationally without hassles.”
The announcement provides customers with an additional channel for foreign transactions, complementing the bank’s existing foreign currency debit and credit cards. With Fidelity’s VISA and Mastercard Naira Debit Cards, customers can now enjoy wider access to international payments.
Fidelity also highlighted the travel and lifestyle benefits attached to its VISA card offering, which include airport lounge and spa access via the Visa Airport Companion App, fast-track immigration services, and discounts on global car rentals.
According to the bank, customers can apply for Fidelity VISA or Mastercard Naira Debit Cards via its mobile app or by visiting any branch.
