Fidelity Bank to Host Public Sector Transparency Webinar

By Ayomide Otitoju

Fidelity Bank Plc has announced plans to host a high-level virtual webinar aimed at helping public institutions strengthen revenue systems, enhance fiscal transparency, and deploy smarter digital frameworks for collections and accountability.

The webinar, scheduled for March 24, 2026, is themed “Digital Fiscal Transparency: Unlocking Sub-national Opportunities for International Partners.” It is expected to convene public sector leaders, development partners, heads of government agencies, and financial experts to discuss practical approaches to improving public finance management.

Speaking ahead of the event, Divisional Head, Public Sector, Richard Madiebo, said the initiative comes amid growing pressure on public institutions to boost internally generated revenue and rebuild public trust in a challenging economic environment.

He noted that the session will focus on how digital platforms can support structured invoicing, seamless collections, payment automation, transparent contractor disbursements, and real-time revenue monitoring.

Madiebo added that the webinar is designed to address persistent challenges in the public sector, including revenue leakages, fragmented collection systems, limited visibility into revenue performance, and weak reconciliation processes.

He explained that the programme aligns with the bank’s commitment to supporting public sector transformation and sub-national development through practical, technology-driven solutions that enhance efficiency and accountability.
