Telecommunications giant Globacom has received positive feedback from subscribers nationwide following its recent network upgrade, which the company says is part of its ongoing commitment to service improvement.
For 22 years, Globacom has consistently re-engineered its systems to enhance service delivery. Its latest upgrade, customers say, has significantly boosted both voice and data quality.
In Lagos, residents reported noticeable improvements. Stephanie Ifeatu, who lives in Costain, said Glo’s network has remained reliable for her daily communication needs. Similarly, Sani Sunday of Lagos Island rated the network’s stability “10 out of 10,” citing stronger call quality and faster browsing speeds.
Long-term subscriber James Aondofa, based in Victoria Island, shared a similar experience, noting that a recent SIM swap on his line reduced call rates and enhanced service quality. “For calls, it’s perfect. For browsing, it has been excellent. Glo is truly everywhere you go,” he said.
Outside Lagos, subscribers in Ogbomoso, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Benin, and Abuja confirmed similar improvements. In Ogbomoso, residents praised the opening of a Gloworld centre, which they said made services more accessible. Abuja-based users, including Biodun Ibrahim and Esther Atanze, described the network as “super good” and “drastically improved,” particularly for data and video calls.
In Port Harcourt, Rivers State, subscriber Paul Ije said, “The signal strength is noticeably stronger. Call quality has improved significantly, and internet speed is better than ever.” Customers in Benin also reported enhanced voice and data services, describing the upgrade as “noticeable and satisfying.”
International user Leke Okufuwa, a US-based entrepreneur with a farm near Ibadan, said he recently purchased four Glo lines to power surveillance cameras on his farm due to the network’s strong coverage.
Subscribers nationwide lauded Glo for maintaining its reputation as “the people’s network” and urged the company to sustain its momentum. In response, the telecoms firm pledged to continue investing in infrastructure and technology to deliver affordable, high-quality services.
