Nigerian pilgrims heading to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj can now stay connected at the most competitive rates, thanks to a new roaming offer from telecoms giant, Globacom.
The company announced a suite of roaming packages designed to provide voice and data services at affordable rates for customers travelling to the Kingdom for pilgrimage, business, or leisure.
According to a statement from Globacom, the packages—developed in partnership with key roaming providers—are tailored to deliver maximum value. “By providing the best roaming solution where customers can make voice calls and browse using a single bundle, they are assured of getting the best value for money while on pilgrimage or any other visit to Saudi Arabia,” the company said.
Subscribers can choose from several flexible options based on their communication needs. For ₦2,500, customers get 5 minutes of voice calls and 100MB of data, valid for one day. A ₦5,000 bundle offers 10 minutes of voice and 250MB of data.
For heavier users, ₦10,000 provides 1GB of data valid for 10 days, while a ₦25,000 package offers 2.5GB valid for 30 days. The premium option—₦50,000—delivers 6GB of data with a validity period of 60 days.
“These bundles are designed to help pilgrims capture and share their memorable experiences with family and friends at home and around the world,” the company noted.
To activate any of the bundles, customers are to dial *312# and select option 8 for roaming, then follow the on-screen prompts. Notably, the bundles can be purchased in Nigeria and will auto-activate upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.
For customers preferring not to subscribe to a bundle, Globacom also offers a pay-as-you-go option. Under this plan, browsing is charged at ₦30 per MB, calls to Nigeria at ₦350 per minute, local calls within Saudi Arabia at ₦270 per minute, and SMS at ₦50 per message.
The initiative is part of Globacom’s commitment to offering seamless and cost-effective connectivity solutions for Nigerians, both at home and abroad.
