Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has extended warm congratulations to retired IGP Aliyu Ibrahim Atta on the occasion of his 88th birthday, celebrated on Monday, May 12, 2025.
In a statement issued by the Nigeria Police Force, IGP Egbetokun lauded the elder statesman’s distinguished career and lasting contributions to national development and public service. Atta, who served as Nigeria’s IGP, was praised for his wisdom, discipline, and visionary leadership that helped shape modern policing in the country.
“The entire Police family joins the nation in wishing IGP Aliyu Ibrahim Atta continued good health, peace, and fulfilment as he celebrates this milestone,” the statement read.
