The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has unveiled the official mascot, logo, and theme for the 15th Biennial Nigeria Police Games, scheduled to take place in Asaba, Delta State, in February 2026.
The unveiling ceremony, held on Wednesday at the Peacekeeping Conference Centre, Force Headquarters, Abuja, marked a significant milestone in preparations for the Games and underscored the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to hosting a successful event.
In his remarks, the IGP described the ceremony as a proud moment for the Force, noting that the Biennial Police Games play a key role in promoting fitness, discipline, teamwork, and morale among officers. He added that the event also strengthens community engagement and reinforces the values of professionalism and unity within the Police Force.
Egbetokun expressed gratitude to the Delta State Government, led by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, for agreeing to host the 2026 edition. He commended the State’s level of preparedness and acknowledged the efforts of the Delta Sports Commission and the Force Sports Planning Committee, chaired by AIG Fom Pam Joseph.
During the unveiling, the IGP highlighted the significance of the mascot, which he said represents the Force’s core values — courage, unity, fitness, and excellence. He also revealed the official theme and slogan for the Games
The event was attended by dignitaries, including representatives of the Delta State Governor and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the President of the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), Dr. Elizabeth Egbetokun, as well as senior security officials and members of the Force Management Team.
The IGP assured officers, athletes, stakeholders, and the public of the Force’s commitment to delivering a memorable sporting event that will promote unity, professionalism, and the enduring spirit of service within the Nigeria Police Force.
