The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) registration from Wednesday, March 12.
In a statement issued on Monday, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin emphasized the significance of the registration process for individuals with degrees, diplomas, or A-level certificates seeking admission into their preferred universities.
The DE registration follows the successful conclusion of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) application process, which closed on Saturday, March 8, 2025. According to JAMB, a total of 2,030,627 candidates registered for the UTME, with 200,115 participating in the Mock-UTME and 630 in the trial mock.
JAMB further warned against false declarations, stating that a special committee would verify all submitted advanced-level qualifications. Any fraudulent documentation will result in prosecution, and institutions are encouraged to directly verify certificates before offering admission.
The board also clarified that registration can only be completed at JAMB Professional Registration Centres (PRC).
