JMG Limited and Jamara Home have hosted a staff sporting festival as part of activities to mark the Easter season, aimed at strengthening employee engagement and workplace cohesion.

The maiden edition of the event was organised in collaboration with the National Union of Electricity Employees and the Steel and Engineering Workers’ Union of Nigeria.

The festival featured a range of activities including football, chess, and other board games, with employees grouped into four teams competing in a friendly and collaborative atmosphere.

Participants described the initiative as an opportunity to foster stronger relationships, recharge, and engage with colleagues outside the traditional work environment. The event also highlighted the companies’ focus on employee wellbeing and inclusiveness.

Chief Commercial Officer, Rabi Jammal, said the initiative went beyond competition, emphasising teamwork and shared experiences across the organisation.

Similarly, Chief Human Resources Officer, Gloria Ibeziako, noted that such engagements are vital in building strong workplace relationships and enhancing morale.

The companies said the success of the festival reflects their commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration and connection, adding that similar initiatives will continue to promote staff wellbeing and organisational growth.

JMG Limited operates across key sectors including power generation, electrical infrastructure, and renewable energy, while Jamara Home offers a range of consumer appliances such as televisions, refrigerators, and air conditioning systems.
