Wola Joseph-Condotti Named Interim CEO of Eko Electricity Distribution; Kemi Omotosho Takes Helm at MultiChoice Nigeria
On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, Wola Joseph-Condotti assumed the role of interim Chief Executive of Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (Eko Disco), bringing extensive experience in law, governance, and energy sector leadership.
A seasoned corporate lawyer and energy executive, Joseph-Condotti previously served as Group Managing Director and CEO of Eko Disco’s parent company, West Power & Gas Limited. She was also Eko Disco’s pioneer Chief Legal and Company Secretary, playing a central role in the company’s post-privatisation development.
Her tenure at Eko Disco spans multiple strategic positions, including Head of Regulatory Compliance, Chief Human Resources and Administration Officer, Supervising Chief of Customer Service, and Data Protection Officer. Beyond operational leadership, she has established herself as a thought leader in renewable energy, sustainability, and carbon markets in Nigeria.
Joseph-Condotti holds a law degree from the University of Ibadan, a master’s in international finance law from Harvard Law School, and an MBA from INSEAD. She is also a certified board evaluation professional with the International Finance Corporation and a corporate governance trainer. Earlier in her career, she worked as General Counsel at Lagoon Home Savings and Loans and as a legal associate at Banwo & Ighodalo.
Her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including inclusion in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist Top 100 General Counsels in Nigeria (2024, 2025), INSEAD’s “INSEADer of the Month” (April 2024), the Ascent Top 100 Career Women in Africa (2025), and the inaugural Legal Era Leadership Excellence Award (2025). She also serves on several boards, including the Women in Energy Network and the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Public Affairs and Advocacy Committee.
In a separate corporate leadership development, MultiChoice Nigeria announced on Monday that Kemi Omotosho has been appointed CEO following the retirement of John Ugbe after nearly 15 years at the company.
Omotosho brings over 20 years of experience across media, telecommunications, and digital services in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa. She previously held senior roles within the MultiChoice Group, including Executive Head of Customer Value Management in Nigeria, Group Executive Head of Customer Value Management for the Rest of Africa, and most recently, Regional Director for Southern Africa with operational responsibility for seven countries.
Commenting on her appointment, Omotosho described Nigeria as a strategic market for the group and said she looked forward to strengthening consumer engagement and championing local storytelling at MultiChoice Nigeria during a pivotal period for the company.
