MTN Nigeria has announced the return of Y’ello Care, its annual staff volunteer initiative, with this year’s edition expanded to 25 days as part of activities marking the company’s 25th anniversary.
The programme, scheduled to run from June 1 to June 25, will focus on the theme, “Equitable Health for Every Community,” with efforts aimed at improving access to quality healthcare in underserved and remote communities.
According to the company, the extended duration reflects its commitment to deepening community impact and reaching more beneficiaries across its operating regions.
MTN noted that access to healthcare in many communities remains constrained by factors such as distance, high costs, inadequate infrastructure, and shortages of healthcare workers, challenges that disproportionately affect women, children, and persons with disabilities.
Through the initiative, MTN staff across its operating companies will participate in volunteer activities designed to support healthcare access and contribute practical solutions to community needs.
The company said the programme underscores its broader commitment to leveraging its resources and workforce to drive social impact.
MTN also disclosed that the Y’ello Care opening ceremony will take place at its Rooftop Plaza in Lagos on June 3, with further details expected in the coming days.
