Nigeria has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE Digital School to enhance access to digital education and practical skill development for millions of young people across the country.
The agreement was formalised in Dubai by the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, and Dr. Waleed Al Ali, who leads the UAE Digital School under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).
According to a statement from the Ministry, the partnership marks a significant step in Nigeria’s efforts to equip its youth for meaningful participation in the global digital economy. The development follows an earlier engagement in July 2025 involving UAE government officials and development partners.
Minister Olawande said the MoU goes beyond a formal signing, describing it as a commitment to providing Nigerian youth with the knowledge, tools, and opportunities required to thrive in an increasingly digital world. He added that the collaboration reflects a shared responsibility and a shared vision of progress and hope between both countries.
